All children in foster care are eligible for full Medicaid benefits, including physical health, behavioral health, dental, and vision services. Coverage begins the day a child enters foster care and continues until the child leaves care.
Former Foster Youth
Under the Affordable Care Act, young adults who were in foster care at age 18 or older are eligible for Medicaid coverage until age 26, regardless of income.
