Signs & Indicators
Recognizing the warning signs is the first step toward protecting a child. Watch for these indicators:
- Unexplained injuries
- Fear of certain staff members
- Behavioral changes after visits or stays
- Reports of inappropriate discipline or restraint
- Deterioration in physical or mental health
- Reluctance to return to the facility
